I’m a BAFTA-winning director, editor and producer who has somehow never lost the joy of filmmaking, despite knowing exactly how hard it can be. I started out with a 15-year career in the edit suite, learning story the old-fashioned way: frame by frame. Along the way I directed music videos and comedy, before moving into high-end documentaries, where I now feel most at home. These days I also direct branded content  and have recently delivered my first job using Ai to generate fantastical prehistoric creatures.

 

I’ve had the pleasure of working with people like David Attenborough, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet and Tom Hardy, and worked on films for Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Discovery, Nat Geo, Sky and Google. Years in the edit have given me a sharp sense of narrative, a knack for making subjects visually compelling and entertaining, and the ability to squeeze every last drop of value from a budget.

 

I’m comfortable on tough shoots in remote corners of the planet with a large crew or as a one-man band self-shooting in my home town. I have a deep understanding of technology - and how to bend it to serve the story. I also run Wild & Tame, a company specialising in petcare and outdoor brands.

 

I live in St Albans, UK, with my wife and two daughters, and I like to think of myself as a safe pair of hands who still gets excited every time someone shouts “Action.”
